Despite personal struggles and health battles, Kirsten Storms kept showing up for GH fans and is finally starting to come in to her own again.

General Hospital Spoilers – The Ever-Changing Maxie Jones
Maxie Jones has always been a fan favorite on the ABC soap, for obvious reasons. How could you not love her spunky attitude and impressive wardrobe?
A few years ago Kristen Storms went through a divorce, and then learned she had a brain tumor and had to have dangerous surgery.
Since Kirsten’s real-life struggles, General Hospital fans noticed a big change in her character.
Maxie wasn’t as quirky and fun-loving as she used to be, and her wardrobe went from spunky to soccer mom.
Storms recently joined Bradford Anderson and Steve Burton on their podcast The Daily Drama, and she got real about the changes her character went through after her health scare.
The Maxie Jones portrayer explained, “I didn’t want to talk about it. I didn’t know if I was going to live. That’s how I felt. I didn’t bounce back from that mentally and emotionally as quick as I would want to, and I feel like how I felt personally was reflected in Maxie in the show.”

The General Hospital actress added, “I would constantly get messages about how they didn’t like the way I was dressing. But like, I was only comfortable in those clothes because I was not comfortable with myself.”
It was hard to watch Kirsten’s struggles play out in her character over the years. But, we can all agree that Maxie Jones is bouncing back and her wardrobe has definitely gotten a boost as of late.
